“Why The Outlierman? Why this precise name?”
There are many people who wonder what is the story behind these two words that, less than a year since they met, have created not only a brand, but a proper world.
It all started a few years ago, I was in London and my aunt decided to give me a book that will prove to be very important for me, for who I am and who I want to become, "Outliers: The Story of Success" by Malcolm Gladwell.
Those pages were really inspiring to me: Malcolm, in fact, explains how success is not only an innate ability but rather a combination of several key factors such as the environment, culture, luck, hard work, all elements that if we have the opportunity to gather and make them our own can push us to excel.
“The culture we belong to and the legacies passed down by our forebears shape the patterns of our achievement”.
And then there’s them, the outliers, those people who have made the most of the opportunities around them and have stood out for something extraordinary. These world-beaters are not afraid to take a different path from the one usually taken by the mass if this will lead them to a path of excellence and quality.
“Who we are cannot be separated from where we're from”.
When, years later, I read again the book it was just the time when the project of a brand of high quality accessories dedicated to the driving world was taking shape, and it was not long before I realized that the similarities of outliers and gentlemen drivers were so many.
I wanted to create a brand dedicated to all those people that seek quality in every detail, who like to stand out and believe in their passion more than anything else. I wanted to create a brand for the gentlemen drivers and by doing so I created it for the outliers.
And the rest is history.
