The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale is a car built since 1959. The design of this car began in 1957 and was curated by Bertone and Franco Scaglione. The design had an exasperated aerodynamics, also studied by direct observation of the air flow by means of woolen threads applied on a car body launched at high speed.
The car was built on a chassis with short wheelbase and was equipped with important innovations: it was fitted with a 5 speed transmission and front brakes with three self-retracting strains, which guaranteed a braking clearly superior to its competitors.
The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale was also boosted by a more powerful engine increased to 100 HP.
