The iconic E-Type and 356 are the forerunners of the brand new collection of t-shirts that immortalize classic and sports car icons as art paintings. Resulting from the stylistic sensitivity of The Outlierman designers – who have portrayed them on backgrounds that recall the suggestive Italian landscapes – and of a 100% Made in Italy know-how: sketched, designed, manufactured and packaged in Italy by Italian talents. Conceived to be small treasures intended for a few, the E-Type’s Portrait and 356’s Portrait t-shirts are a small, state-of-the-art edition, just like the great masters' paintings.

Descendant of the legendary Volkswagen Beetle and precursor of the equally legendary Porsche 911, the 356 is one of the protagonists of the history of the car. Designed in the Gmünd branch under the technical guidance of Ferry Porsche, son of Ferdinand Porsche, it saw the light of day immediately after the war to respond to the demand for an elegant yet affordable sports car, built from standard mechanical parts. Its soft and unmistakable lines, combined with agility and driving performance, have made it the star of races such as the Mille Miglia and the Coppa delle Dame, as well as an authentic icon of the 50’s, driven by stars such as Jeans Dean.

The Jaguar E-Type is an emblem of the British style and innovation of the 60’s. Produced between 1961 and 1975, it embodied the aesthetic and technological innovation of the time, with the beautiful tapered lines designed to enhance the performance of a monocoque chassis and a 3.8-liter engine with an output of 265 HP coupled to a four-speed manual gearbox. The air intake on the front of the hood and the glass cover of the headlights are inevitable signs of recognition on the portrait we made to immortalize the glory of this exceptional car.

The Outlierman t-shirts are exclusive works in all respects, starting from the “canvas”: an application in 100% silk satin. The extraordinary brightness properties of this natural yarn are a precise choice of our designers, aimed at enhancing the chiaroscuro features and the expressiveness of the colors to create vivid portraits like those of the Italian masters. Like true masterpieces, both portraits feature the title of the work and the author's signature written by hand. To make the t-shirts masterpieces of wearability and pleasantness on the skin, we have then chosen the Lisle Cotton Yarn, the noblest variety of cotton yarns which owes its extraordinary breathable, anti-allergic and antibacterial properties to the use of a very fine cotton coming from the delta of the Nile river and processed according to a particular technique that has been handed down since 1850.
