There are cars that are born to go faster. Others to be admired. And then there are those created to remind us why we fell in love with driving.
For this reason, we are particularly pleased to present Brado, a new independent automotive manufacturer born in Parma, in the heart of the Italian Motor Valley, with a clear mission: to bring the automobile back to its purest, most physical and instinctive essence.
The birth of Brado sees us directly involved.
The project carries the imprint of Andrea Mazzuca, founder of Outlierman and strategic soul of the Brado brand, who has accompanied the project from the very beginning: from imagining the car and its style to defining a narrative universe capable of speaking to an international community of collectors, enthusiasts and contemporary UHNWI gentleman drivers. “Brado is the ultimate instrument of freedom,” - he revealed to us - “Thanks to the design freedom made possible by high-level craftsmanship, we shaped a dream car capable of tackling routes that remain literally impossible for most cars. An exciting driving experience that, for us, embodies the excellence of Made in Italy.”
Alongside this lifestyle imprint, Brado naturally also has a deeply mechanical soul. That of Matias Mussetta, Italian-Argentinian car developer and composite technician, with a career built across Scuderia Toro Rosso, Lamborghini, Dallara and the Ferrari Hypercar 499P, with which he was also part of the winning team at the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans. Today, he is an international point of reference in conservative restoration and the preparation of classic cars for the most prestigious concours d’elegance (Villa d’Este, Pebble Beach, Amelia Island).
His experience brings an extremely high level of technical expertise to the project: advanced materials, racing sensitivity, knowledge of carbon fiber and a culture of pure mechanics. A mechanical approach that does not look for shortcuts, but gives the driver back control, contact and immediate response. “With Brado, we wanted to bring the car back to its primordial essence. We applied the advanced experience gained from building hypercars to create an object that celebrates pure mechanics, where every gram of carbon fiber serves emotion”.
Brado was born from the meeting of these two visions: on one side automotive culture, style and strategy; on the other engineering, material and precision. Two different worlds, united by the same idea: to create a car capable of bringing fun back to the center of driving.
Carbon Buggy: the Brado manifesto
The first chapter of this vision is called Carbon Buggy. Its lines are designed by Juan Manuel Diaz, designer of iconic models such as the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, Alfa Romeo MiTo, Audi R8 Spyder and Audi RSQ e-tron Dakar. For Brado, Diaz worked from a clear principle: remove the superfluous, let the forms speak, restore the buggy to its most authentic essence. Carbon Buggy is not a simple nostalgic reinterpretation. It is an engineering sculpture that starts from an icon of carefree freedom and takes it into new territory, made of noble materials, contemporary proportions and sartorial attention to detail.
The full carbon fiber body reduces weight and amplifies responsiveness. The Aircooled Boxer engine, available in a 1.8L version with 85 hp or a 2.0L version with 110 hp, keeps the analog character of the car alive. The manual gearbox, dual carburetor feed and absence of electronics bring everything back to the starting point: driver, machine, road.
Luxury leisure, according to Brado
Brado interprets luxury leisure as a form of luxury to be lived. Carbon Buggy was created to tackle routes that many cars cannot even imagine, but it does so with the aesthetic language of a collectible object. Each car can be personalized through a bespoke approach: from the interior leathers to nautical fabrics, all the way to the different colorways of the carbon fiber. The client does not simply choose a configuration, but takes part in building an identity.
The bond between Brado and Outlierman is natural.
Both are born from the same idea of automotive lifestyle: the car not as a mere technical object, but as a gateway to a way of living. A world made of driving, travel, elegance, craftsmanship, collecting and details capable of saying something about those who choose them. For this reason, Outlierman Agency manages Brado’s strategic communication, contributing to the development of its storytelling, positioning and brand identity.
But the dialogue between the two projects is set to go beyond communication. Future collaborations are already planned, potentially involving the design of dedicated glove and accessory collections, as well as the development of internal elements and features of the car.
Brado is exclusive, disruptive, fun, and at the same time the result of impeccable Italian style and craftsmanship.
